Online carpets with style, quality and performance

Universal XXI Web

CHALLENGE

Create the best carpet website of the moment

Universal XXI came to NITSNETS with the objective of creating a carpet website that would serve as an online catalog for its B2B clients and would be able to display its wide assortment of products in a usable way and with high quality images. Likewise, it had to be very easy to operate and manage internally and, on the other hand, help with search engine positioning and serve as a sales catalyst in other channels, reinforcing its brand image.

THE SOLUTION

A sales enhancer with carpet as the protagonist

The magnificent graphic material that Universal XXI had combined with the strategy to create the new structure, and the technical management and optimization solutions has resulted in a complete website that breathes quality and style while being agile, practical and with an unbeatable performance.

A new usable and optimized architecture

An exhaustive SEO and competition study was carried out, as well as on the product catalog itself. Based on this, the structure was completely reformulated from the user's point of view. The new categories and filters allow the customer to find the most suitable carpet according to styles and rooms. They also optimize positioning in search engines.

“The result is a page with a detailed finish, as if the product cards were worked one by one, but with a complete automation in its generation, integration and management from NAVISION”

High definition and minimum image weight for sublime quality

Since we have high quality images of each carpet, both product and environment, we design a product card where the image is the protagonist. In the gallery we add the macro zoom and full screen view in addition to using the images as a background that accompanies the texts with additional data.

The images are present transversely throughout the web so it was critical that speed was not affected. That is why a comparative analysis of several optimization services was made and an own development in nodejs was chosen, which reduces up to 90% the weight of the image while preserving all its definition.

Custom tabs from automated content

Both the images and the descriptive texts of each tab are generated automatically from the features included in the customer's ERP: NAVISION. This makes the maintenance and updating of the catalog as fast and easy as possible for the company, while the user perceives a unique and personalized content for each product.

Innovative technology for maximum performance and speed

The website has been developed with some of the most innovative technologies that offer the best results in performance and user experience.

Angular Universal has been used with Server Side Rendering to optimize SEO indexing, without renouncing the work with Angular and the benefits it brings in speed. This is achieved by reloading only the parts of the page that change and not the entire page.

Also, thanks to the Responsive Web Design and Mobile First philosophy, the website is optimally and functionally displayed both on desktops and laptops and all types of devices, whether tablets or iOS and Android cell phones.

RESULTS

Better compression, better speed, better performance

The technology used, the image compression system, and the integration of the website with the ERP Navision, combine to make Universal XXI the most optimized website in the sector, while being usable and with an agile and automated internal management to ensure its sustainability over time.
